Augmented Reality: real benefit or new gadget

“Augmented reality (AR) is a live direct or indirect view of a physical, real-world environment whose elements are augmented (or supplemented) by computer-generated sensory input such as sound, video, graphics or GPS data.” In previous posts, we already discovered AR potential benefits when it is used in industrial maintenance, AR Games, AR in retail, Marketing or navigation.

The IKEA usage seems to be promising. But does it make sense to use AR for standard Corporate brochures? My opinion is that AR could provide High Benefits for “TV screens and Posters usage”, Mitigated Benefits for “Printed usage” and Low Benefits for “online usage”.
